Transport in Scotland: the next 10 years
“Transport is changing dramatically with the advent of new technologies, changing demand patterns and the challenges of addressing climate change. As the national transport agency, Transport Scotland is at the forefront of dealing with these challenges.
How do we capture the nation’s vision for transport; what should our transport strategy be for the next period; and what will transport look like in 10 years’ time? And, as a key demand, what is transport’s role in supporting the wider economy.
This session will involve insights into Transport Scotland’s role; how we see our National Transport Strategy evolving; how we gear up to the next ‘great leap forward’ in transport technology; and how we meet Climate Change Plan commitments centred both on technology and behaviour change. This will be a highly interactive session, so bring your ideas and prepare to be heard!”
